Waiting...

So it's down to crunch time. I have emailed local organizations that may provide funding as well as family. I'm also applying for a scholarship but that may or may not arrive until December/January.

It's down to the responses whether or not this trip will be viable. Fortunately I was told by one of the department chairs that the minimum the school provides for global learning has increased! So that will definitely help but I will still need roughly $2200. Let's see if this is what God wants me to do!

Trip of a Lifetime

So I finally decided to go through with it, to take the chance and do whatever I can do go on this trip to Istanbul! The dates are March 4-14 2011.

I'm really excited and really nervous since it's only a short amount of time before the actual trip and theres so much to get done including a passport etc.

I'm starting to write my letter for fundraising and look for scholarships. All the money is due by December so I don't have much time for that either!
Oh and I need to check on the shots, if any, that are needed for the area.

I'll use this blog sort of like a diary.. to keep you posted on what I'm thinking, tell you about what I learn, and just kind of a segway between you and me so you know what is going on.
